Berbiriana — libros e grades — is a bookshop and record store in the Ciudad Vieja, its blue hanging sign visible against the white Galician facade from halfway down the cobblestone street. The name is invented; the combination is not unusual in Galician cultural life, where books and music have always shared infrastructure. The stock covers fiction, poetry, and local Galician literature alongside vinyl in a selection that rewards curiosity. The glazed galería windows above the shop front are the building's oldest feature; the blue sign is the newest addition. Together they make the shopfront one of the more photographed in the old town — though Berbiriana operates as if it has not noticed.
