The café occupies the ground-floor room to the right of the entrance hall at Casa Hibiscus. The walls are the same dusty blue as the courtyard; the floor is original hexagonal terracotta. Morning light comes in low through the tall wooden door from the street. The bar is short — coffee, wine, and a small selection of spirits — and the chalkboard menu stays legible. It is not trying to be a destination café, which is part of what makes it worth sitting in. Guests and locals use it interchangeably; the rhythm is slow and the conversation, when there is any, is quiet.
