Five Elephant is a roastery and café in Kreuzberg with a seriousness about sourcing that is common in Berlin and a presentation that is less so — clean, precise, without the studied casualness that specialty coffee cafés sometimes cultivate as aesthetic positioning. The cheesecake served alongside coffee is made in-house and is consistently better than it has any reason to be. The space is narrow and light. The roastery operates from the same address.
