The Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di San Marino occupies rooms in one of the historic government buildings on the Monte Titano — the stone arch at the gallery threshold is part of the original structure, and the transition from the medieval exterior into the white gallery corridor is one of the more quietly effective architectural sequences in the republic. The permanent collection includes work from Italian and international artists acquired over decades of the republic's active patronage policy; temporary exhibitions rotate through the main spaces.
