Hotel Due Torri is one of the oldest continuously operating grand hotels in northern Italy — the building on Piazza Sant'Anastasia has hosted guests since at least the 14th century, and the current interior language reflects a serious engagement with that history rather than a pastiche of it. The hotel maintains an art collection distributed throughout the public spaces: the corridor gallery on the upper floors displays large-scale figurative works against white ornate panelling, with dark polished floors that double the paintings in reflection. The brass floor lamps and the crystal chandelier overhead give the space a particular kind of institutional formality — the kind that comes from having been serious about hospitality for a very long time. The location, adjacent to the church of Sant'Anastasia and minutes from the Roman Arena, is central without being on the tourist route proper.
