Luka is a double-height café and lifestyle space in the Ari neighbourhood — a district north of central Bangkok that has developed into the city's most considered enclave of independent food, design, and cultural operators. The interior is a considered accumulation: rattan and straw light fittings of different scales, woven parasols repurposed as architectural dividers, shelving holding craft goods alongside the coffee service. The aesthetic draws from Bali and the wider Southeast Asian craft tradition rather than the European café model that dominates the city's newer openings. The upper-level view from the mezzanine — looking down over the room through the canopy of woven objects — is the space's best vantage point.
