The Terrazza Triennale is the rooftop bar of La Triennale di Milano — the design museum established in 1933 in the Palazzo dell'Arte, designed by Giovanni Muzio, on the edge of the Sempione park. The terrace occupies the building's upper level and opens directly above the park: the pines of Sempione in the foreground, the Arco della Pace at the park's north end, the roofline of the Castello Sforzesco visible to the right. The aperitivo hour here — roughly five to eight in the evening, when the museum below is still open — combines the city's wine culture with a view that asks for a certain stillness. The Triennale's permanent collection and design bookshop are accessible from the building below; the terrace earns its own visit.
