The Attendant occupies a converted Victorian public lavatory beneath Foley Street — the original porcelain fittings still line the walls, the ceiling vaults low, the light is borrowed from the pavement above. It is one of London's more architecturally specific interiors: not designed for Instagram, designed for using. The coffee is single-origin and well-made. The space is small enough that conversation is quiet by necessity. You descend to it, which changes the logic of arrival.
